I think a few of you out there know my story a bit. I used to live in Wisconsin and then I met someone from England, here on JWD, and then I moved to England to be with him and we got married in April...(very happily married I might add). Anyway, in the process of moving I left my kitty behind, only thinking it would be momentarily, but it's been an absolute nightmare to get here over here. The thing is that I left her in Wisconsin for her "quarantine" period because she was in an actual home, having direct contact with someone daily and it was also a lot less expensive. I thought after the quarantine period was over, I would be able to go back home and get her and bring her back, but the rules for the UK on bringing animals from another country are quite strict (I know it was stupid of me to not know this beforehand) The thing now is that I am not able to afford to pay much for getting her over here and shipping her via cargo hold of a plane costs $910 (yep, I know..really expensive). The only other way of getting her over here is if she flies into Paris from Chicago. Like I say it's a longshot, but I just thought if anyone here is planning a trip to Paris anytime soon or knows of someone who is, that wouldn't mind bringing a sweet kitty with them, the air fare for her to be shipped in the passenger cabin is only $127, which is so much more affordable. And I don't live that far from Paris, so I can get there to pick her up. If anyone can help or has some suggestions, or even a good home for her to go to if I can't get her here. She is the most sweetest kitty ever and I'm feeling really bad for not having her with me, and I'm missing her terribly.

so many to choose from. I like "It's all about the Pentiums" a lot. But they really are all great.

Thank you so much Mary for posting those youtube threads...I the dentist skit. That is one my favorites and I've been searching for it forever. Now I can show my husband. I've been telling him how hysterical I become when I watch it. The first time I saw it I fell on the floor laughing. It's such a wonderful thing to laugh that hard. I love the Carol Burnett show for always doing that for me. And thanks again for posting that Mary

I've not seen the show in awhile, but my husband and I used to watch it a bit whilst eating dinner. Love the animal shows. I miss animal planet...the Jeff Corwin experience and the reruns of the Steve Irwin show too.
What's been happening with meerkat manor lately? I thought it wasn't on for awhile?

NAME JUST ONE thing....ONE THING...revealed by God....
by Terry insomebody is always insisting they have an invisible and mysterious source of divine information and selling it like hotcakes and syrup.

Then maybe God does have a purpose for doing this then. It is for you.
Good gravy woman do you have no shame? There is a time to shut the f*ck up and about one post ago was it.

Dr. Who question for British posters
by Insomniac inin the episode i just watched, the doctor was fiddling with rose's cellphone and used the term "jiggery-pokery.
" i'm pretty sure that's what he said.
what does that term mean?

Oh my Gill...we have lots in common. I kept telling my husband I wouldn't look at statues the same ever again.....and I'm sure I won't. I'm glad I wasn't the only scared one then. It's funny how little kids can sometimes not be frightened of something us adults would.
The even funnier bit of that evening was my dear husband trying to scare me more, until I threatened him that I would keep him up as long as I'm awake. And now every night we play jokes on each other blinking until the other one makes a scary face and comes closer to the other...too funny!!!1
Dr. Who is a great show though. I think this is the first one I've watched all the way through, the older ones, I just caught episodes every now and then. But Mr. Caedes and I don't miss an episode now.
OOPS! Just realized I put this in the wrong spot in the thread, it should be after my first post and Gill's last post, but I don't know how to move it without deleting and starting over....oh well! you get the gist.

A big thank you to Simon
by Caedes ini thought i should write a big thanks to simon for this board, not only has it been a big eye-opener to me regarding my past and helped me realise how many people have been through the same stuff as i have, but it's through this board that i've met a wonderful woman, michelle (calico ethel).. michelle is beautiful, intelligent, funny and luckily for me has terrible eyesight, i feel very fortunate to have met her and hopefully (presuming i can keep on hiding her glasses!
) we shall be very happy together in the future.
she has rather recklessly and bravely agreed to move in with me and is moving over at the beginning of february.

Thanks for mentioning the underwear honey....that's sweet. I hope you are liking them. We can keep them as a permanent decoration for the bedroom if you'd like.
I don't care that we have our own thread. I think our love is special enough that it deserves it's own. (not that everyone else's doesn't, but I think you all know what I mean) Besides....I didn't know so many other people found love over this site. I thought we were the only ones. Who would have thought?????
2 weeks can't go by quick enough. What do you mean grumpy old git??? You are none of those things. And I'm sure you'll see me when I'm difficult. I just hope you won't want to give me back to my old pathetic way of life after you do. I'm too attached to you to let you go now. Saying goodbye to you last time nearly killed me, it would if I had to do it again.

I think this sort of thing can happen to anyone. I would have to be thankful for Calvin and Hobbes too.....
That's the whole reason I met him to begin with. Just looking through people's avatar's the first week I signed up to this site, I noticed someone had Hobbes as his avatar. I am a big fan of the cartoon's and so I PM'd him and he PM'd me back. Then we started emailing each other. It's been an almost everyday thing with us now. And when we don't get to email, we either text or phone each other. He will text me just to say goodnight and that he loves me.....He really is the sweetest man in the world. He takes care of me and I want to take care of him. I'm so grateful and blessed
